RE: Doing the Right Thing
A few years ago I ordered a rather high doller item to be shipped COD. I got home from work and there was my item dropped off by the UPS guy. I put it in my shop and went in the house to discover the envelope with the money to pay the driver still sitting on my desk. I asked my wife and she wasn't home when the delivery was made. She had found the box on the porch. This was before email, so I dropped the shipper a note. A few days later the driver stopped by my work, and told me he had made a mistake, and he was going to have to pay the bill or loose his job. I gave him the money, signed the card, and that was the end of it. I could have stiffed him, but would that be right? Wonder who got stuck with Mr. Moores bill? Probably Skymaster. Bob
