Should be ok, I would also recommend a small rubber band around the carb body and slide to keep the carb closed just incase that should happen again. If its a rotary carb, you can use a old exhaust spring or simalar to keep it closed incase the battery fails. Its just an added measure to keep you rc car/truck from running away.
