Well, in reading the original post, it sounds like the poster was flying over a parking lot. If that's the case, that's probably not the best place to fly. Especially if there are cars parked there. The groundskeeper might have found a more polite way of saying it, but he could have very well meant "Don't fly there when it's in use." but came across more gruff than needed.
