I generally would recommend a warbird as a trainer. I would get something more like an E-Starter.

I believe you meant to say you would NOT recommend a warbird as a trainer.

Warbirds fly fast and are not forgiving, so they are generally a poor choice for a beginner. Your recommendation of the E-Starter is a good one.
