Alot of people run the 3305's in planes. I believe the reason they're not recommended is they don't have a real good dead band, and they don't center well. As far as the SPE being a p.o.s. like altavillan is suggesting, well maybe he got a bad one. I have one, and after break in it runs great. I'm more than pleased with it, and it has never quit on me, shook bad or any problems like that. I am getting ready to buy another.
