Default RE: Which engine?

ORIGINAL: zax2000

A 97" Kangke Monocoupe, the manufacturer recommends a RCS 140 turning an 18x6. It also states that it was tested with everything from a 90 glow to a 2.4 gas. The finished weight is about 12-14 lbs. according to the specs but I plan on having extra electronic goodies in mine so I'm thinking 15-16 lbs especially with a Zenoah.
An electronic ignition G-26 weighs basically the same as the Evolution 26GT. I looked at these two a while back. Weight and performance are virtually identical, with the G-26 holding a slight edge both on muffler and pipe systems. Cost is also very close. The only significant difference is the front carb arrangement on the Evolution makes for a much slimmer installation for a narrow cowl. Both are excellent engines, although the reliability edge has to go to the G-26, they run forever with no issues if at all cared for.
