These guys were apparently attempting to remove the runway's stripes. Did they say why? Did the generate a half reasonable excuse for their actions? Or was it blatantly to deny runway use to high performance models?

Either way, sorry this happened. As someone else mentioned: acceptable flying sites are becoming far too rare for this kind of tom-foolery to occur.
