Default RE: FS One by Hangar 9

Hi Guys,

Scott: I can also back up Ken's comment about the 7300GT and the intel GMA. I bought a 7300GT just before I got the program a couple of months ago because I read that my on board Intel GMA wouldn't do it ... the 7300GT works great, I'm running a 3 yr old P4, 3 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM. Frame rates are usually> 100 fps on pano's and I think the Valkryie (sp?) field slows things down a bit but still not less than probably 40-50-60 fps (I read here somewehere that Valkryie is the biggest drain on computing because of all of the other objects in the field. If you kick down to medium rates whatever that means the frame rate might go up too (I think).

Ken: Thanks for offering up the pano, how do I shoot you my email address? Regarding Michael's note, solids modelling would probably be something like Autocad or Solidworks (never heard of AC3d but that might do it too) ... I better let Michael answer you. I know some designers that I could call in a few favours on if you can't tackle it with what you have. One guy in particular is a whiz but I'm not sure what we'd have to get them to do?

Thanks,
Dave
