Default RE: ESTES Airforce 1 Ducted Fan 747 Jumbojet

I got in a few backyard glide tests and some power on, straight line tests on the Silverlit 737, I haven't had a calm enough day to take it to the park.
But I did find out that even though it's only a little bigger than a AeroAce it's a lot heavyer. It "glides like a brick!
And since the space between the wings and tail is so short it's "twitchy", that the best way I know to describe it. It slips left and right and if you get off the power it will just fall out of the sky. Although it has enough power to fly, it's to small for the weight to fly good. Instead of a CG at about 25-30%, mine seams to be closer to 50% and I can't find a place in the tail to remove weight. I'm sure not gonna add any more. I gues I'm gonna end up cutting it open and doing some surgery!
They really over did the molded plastic parts and some can be removed, but they are at the CG and won't make much difference in moving the CG.
I'm gonna wait until I get a gram scale before i start cutting on it.
