Default RE: CA

Left in warm temps all CA's as far as I know will thicken and eventually harden. I never buy a big bottle unless I'm doing major building and I keep any that I'm not using right away in the fridge. 1/2 oz bottles is about all I will buy now and by the way. Make sure you check out that bottle at your LHS. Last time I bought a bottle of thin CA it turned out to be bad and it's 12 miles back to the store for a refund/replacement.[]

CA is used where I work and they used to have it on the shelf in their storehouse until the day I went to order some and all 10 bottles they had were all thickened. Now they store all the CA they have in stock in a fridge.

I went to my shop to get a bottle of CA earlier today for a small repair. This is Zap brand in a 2 oz. bottle. The bottle is about 1/3 full. The glue had thickened to the consistency of molasses. It is much thicker than even thick CA. Since this is Zap in its original bottle, I can't even take to top off to get the stuff out of the bottle. For those of you who have never used Zap, the bottle including the tip is all one piece--the top doesn't screw off like many others do. I was not aware that CA could or would do this. Anyone else ever have this happen? I guess from now on I'll buy one ounce bottles.
