Thanks for the input, i did not realize that it would lift off and be more nimble without the training gear, never really thought about it but it does stand to reason. I am not quite comfortable enough yet to try it without the gear. Perhaps in another week or so. I have been flying planes since 1979, this is proving to be a real challenge for me but a lot of fun at the same time. My biggest issue right now is tail strikes as i tend to pull "up elevator" when i get in trouble. The tail boom has some wrinkles in it and needs to be replaced soon.
