Is the BJ4WE that much better than the TRF501X?
I've got the itch to build another buggy, after falling in love with my DF03 chassis. I know it probably sounds stupid, but I don't really race, but I really want to get a TRF501X. I love the technology and the mechanical aspects of RC cars. I think they are as close to art as something that runs on a dirt track can get. I'm perfectly happy most of the time just taking my RC out after getting home from work and running a pack through it on the street in front of my house. While looking at the TRF501X I realize that it is a high end racing machine, so if I were to get it, I would definately want to make an effort at racing. What I'm wondering though, is the BJ4WE that much better than the TRF501X, and how long has the TRF501X been out, and is Tamiya planning on a replacement for it anytime soon. My DF03 is the first Tamiya I have owned since I was probably 5 years old, but even though there are certain things I'm not crazy about, like ABS plastic parts, Tamiya has a mistique about it. Maybe it's the fact that I have to order the bulk of my parts from Hong Kong, or the fact that I never though of them as a company that produced high end RC, only to be suprised. I don't know what it is, but I'm having a blast with RC again after years away from it.
If I do decide on a TRF501X I havn't found a US distributor that carries it other than Tamiyausa, and I know I can get a better deal than that somewhere else. Any links would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou
