Not sure what you have in mind but if you are going to do something like a precise calculation of runtime to cost - forget it. I thought it was as simple as the number on the pack when I started and I wasted money on cheap packs that had relativly high mah values. I get decent run times but they just don't push the boat. Internal resistance and as a sub set, discharge rate is key and it's not labeled on the battery. Save your money and get some quality batteries. Read the battery thread and make an informed choice. If you were going a different direction I appologize but there are too many variables to your answer. (prop, charger, charging habits, flex shaft maint, driving habits - ect.) That said I wouldn't run anything less than 3000 mah. Not worth the time to tape the hatch shut IMO. hope this helps.
