Default RE: Savage X Temperature ?

I don't understand how you guys can be telling him to aim for a specific temperature, I'm sure you all know that you should tune to performance and not temperature. It doesn't run best at any specific temperature, it runs best at the temperature it runs best.

Mine runs from 260-300 depending on the weather, it's tuned perfectly, I get great performance. Every so often I take the temp, but as long as it's 300 or less I'm perfectly happy. DON'T WORRY ABOUT TEMPS unless they are extreme, in which case, there's probably a problem of some kind like an air leak in the fuel system. As ong as you always have some smoke at full throttle, the engine is getting the lubrication it needs. That is all you need to know.

These engines run fine up to 300 for gallons and gallons, and besides, they are not racing mills, they are not meant to last forever, and they are not built with such crazy tolerances as racing engines. Bash it til it breaks and then get a new one, it's not like its a $400 mill you want to get the last litre out of.

The moral: DON'T WORRY ABOUT TEMPS!

love this advise...im new to rc nitro...and this is what i go by...enjoy until it breaks...then just buy another...
