I understand your concern for the backplate not sitting flat on the drive washer. Mine sits flat but my concern is that when I snug up the screw that holds the spinner on it will bow the back plate if you torque it too much. If I end up losing it I will go back to old reliable (pic attached) which actually looks pretty good with the cowl on.
