The Savage X when it came out was loaded with flaws so I sold mine and am glad I did and will back that move up six ways from Sunday pal... The fact that 1.) HPI soon started shipping out diff upgrades and steel spur-gears, 2.) upgraded way more on the X SS than was previously the difference between RTR and kit Savies, and 3.) now that they've discontinued the 4.1 X RTR is about all I need to say. As a last point, Chronic has been so busy - partially - for a good reason.. Shall I spell it out? - so many early X TVP's broke way too easily.. So, I sold my X RTR for a mild loss, and got my XSS for a good deal. Couldn't be happier.. Especially with the Axial.... Which, to remind you, is what this thread was originally about...

Made the right call there, and in exactly the same way am making the right call by never going near an STS. Period....
