This debate will rage forever. I have used Marvel oil for going on 30 years, no gel that I have seen, of course I live in SouthEast Texas. The practice of adding after run oil to an engine then spinning it over with a starter is potentially damaging. I have seen one example where a newbie added too much oil then spun the engine over with his starter, even though the engine was resisting...result bent rod.

We all have our favorite after run oil that we feel works best. Point is we are using after run oil, and that's a good thing....i think <g>.
