It's possible that the plane could travel many miles before it crashes, or at other times it will just spiral in quickly and crash.
Back in the 70's I had a Jensen Ugly Stick that just would not respond. It was too close to be out of range, bad battery maybe. If just flew perfectly level till it was out of sight. Years later getting back into the hobby I was told a Big Stick was not stable for a beginer to fly.
