Why wouldn't you put the smoke nipple/injector in the header pipe? The closer you put the nipple to the exhaust port ... the more heat you will have .... and that is what you need for a good smoke system. HEAT! Plus, you want your smoke nipple to be in the low pressure portion of the exhaust system ... which would be in the header.
