A Savage can make a fine track vehicle if prepped properly. The problem is that hardly anyone preps them for handling and performance, and the average Savage setup won't cut it on the track. Once you get it right and you get your driving skills honed, you have just as much of a chance as anyone else. It's not cheap, but it's fun.
I've raced mine in the past but it hasn't seen clay in a long time... it's going to make it's comeback this summer though. My LST2 is my backup truck
