The writers, to my knowledge, don't control the content of the reviews. Addendums must be run through Erick Royer, who coincidentally also handles the advertisers. Am I wrong about this?

I have only had one thing removed from one of my reviews without my prior approval, and that was an off-topic comment that in retrospect was in poor taste. (In case you're wondering, it was a joke about a well-known actress)

Reviewers will often encourage people to PM them about the product, for the "real" details. What does that imply?
I know that I often encourage readers to email me to ask questions that I may not have addressed, but the "real" details are in the review
