I've been there...
I was working on a customers car having one of those day's when the alarm horn went off for the third time while I was bending over it on the inner fender.
I grabbed it, ripped it off the fender and "spiked" in on the floor.
I did feel better and then went to the store and bought a new one, it was worth it.
