Default RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!

Sounds like an interesting day (LOL). I had wind 18 gusting to 28mph today...nothing flew. Did a little bench work on the Corsair and did a static highpower turn...ready for a balmy 6-8mph wind we're supposed to have tomorrow. I tinkered with the CP-Pro to no avail. Got about a 3.5ft hover red light just a glow'in....darnnit. Waiting for a new motor. Corsair will go up tomorrow.

arrow,

I agree, this thread has a great group of guys always willing to help out a fellow rc junkie!

Definately leaning toward FS One, but a hate to hear they don't have a TREX model...

DAY 3 MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Today was a day filled with carnage! well actually, the gremlins came out last night just after midnight during a late night flight with the TREX SE.... I already broke the first two rules when I spooled her up. 1) don't fly at night, and 2) don't fly when you're drunk.

I was very lucky! After losing sight of the heli around the neighbors front lawn, I cut the power hoping for the best! Fortunately, the only damage was a broken horizontal stabilizer (which doesn't affect the flight of the heli). The CF version for SE was $15.00. Not bad, my first crash on the TREX $15 and purely as cosmetic fix.

However, I was not as lucky today. Seems both my CP Pros are down, along with one of my CX2's. The Blade series helis can not handle the wind! Seeing how pretty much all day today the wind was blowing at about 10mph. I probably shouldn't have been trying to fly them in these conditions, but I needed something to fly between charges and the TREX seemed to handle the wind fine.

I also burned through 2 sets of rear tires with my modified mini-T Pro with 370 motor. But the major damage came when I hit a crack in the pavement at top speed and sent the car end over end about 15 feet down the road. I broke the rear right hub connection, dogbone axel, and steering servo!

a few beers and some time on the work bench, hopefully I have everything back up by tomorrows BBQ.
