Yes you can buy an SU-100 conversion kit. Includes a resin casting with white metal parts. Pscartozzi has a good thread going on it.

I just got started on my SU 100. Got the resin casting ready and pulled out all the stock electronics. I also removed the nylon clutch gears and replaced them with metal ones.
