the OLD ONE with a tiny but FUNNY update :
drove 300 miles to Dallas to fly in a special HobbyShop up there that has all INDOOR FACILITIES and SPACE, "dedicated" to Electric Helicopters.... it was a TOTALLY AWESOME experience for me, who never gets to see anybody else with helis.
My CX-2 was the object of MUCH attention ..... now with the Blue shell fuselage and the blue aluminum boom ! .... Soon as I started flying it, several came around and wanted to find out how come it flys so well. I was even landing it on a seat next to the tracks that was not much bigger than 1 foot square. Upon request I repeated that stunt sucessfully for times . Somehow, this CX-2 must be so much better than the standard was,,, that it caught their eye. Basically and truthfully, besides NOT going inverted it does EVERYTHING a helis should do, maybe not Banking in the Turns, but all else, and it was mentioned how SMOOTH it goes.
Tried to start up the CP-PRO to try it under such IDEAL CONDITIONS ..... and the M O T O R B U R N E D U P !!!!!!!!!! drove 288 miles just ...

........to get my FIRST FAILURE with the BLADES - [ that is the "funny" but sad part of this story.].....so my GoldBrick got busted ( CRASH CRASH take note ) and I am now just another regular guy with failures - ha ha (sob )
With the help of my friend : I am now TOTALLY READY ( he did all my soldering - SORRY CHOPPERSRULE DAVE - I squelched out of soldering ) to finish up my TEST PLANES for proofing the DX-7 and the 6100 RX and ALSO to begin putting together the REX..
moving forward here . .... slowly ..... hey I'm old [
