Why would it be too much to invest in? Anyone who is even moderately commited to the hobby would quickly realize that buying the gyro would be an investment anyway and esc's are a dime a dozen figuratively speaking. Being able to move your gyro to pretty much any heli you want sounds like a good move to me.
