When you have carb problems with the DA call DL to get what they use The situation becomes very noticable when pulling up into a hover from low power settings. Brand loyalty is nice, but performance and reliability is better. No needed service beats needing service. Or have I missed something with all the engines I never had to send back because they always worked correctly?
I also ordered the recommended carbon plate for the carb.
BTW: I had no intention of starting a brand war of sorts. I just love to fly and I really enjoy all the nice folks I get to fly with. I drive a Lexus, my neighbor has a mini van. These kinds of things are whats makes us different. If we all showed up at the flying field with the exact same field box, airplanes and engines, more than likely, no one would come back next week. Thanks for everyones' thoughts as always.
I drive a Supercharged Mercedes and a Land Rover---But I still bought the DL50 and it simply runs better than the two DA50's that I've had..Price wasn't considered, just performance....Sorry if I came across as starting a brand war...This DL50 really is a VERY good engine!!!---Have you seen the threads (especially in the last day or so) of all of the guys that can't get their DA50's to run properly???
