Of course this would close the gap between heli's and aiplanes:

Just put a small rotor on the nose of your plane..ie the propellor would have throtle, collective and cyclic. That way you could hover nose down and nose up and heaven knows what other manuevers would be possible?!

Its only a matter of time...
