Find your local club and hang out. See what they are flying and what they can help with. Some of the bigger clubs may even have a club trainer for you to see and play with.
Mine is a Tower .60 ARF. It went together quickly and flies great. With my older eyes when it gets way up there I can still see if it's inverted or not. That gomes in really handy when your instructor tells you to turn left.
