Update on the Dual Tail: I think I have isolated my problem down to a bad tail motor. I mounted both my motors but just wired the top one up. Hovered for 6 minutes without a glitch. Then I disconnected the top motor and wired the bottom motor only. After about 4 minutes, the glitches came rolling in. Just to be sure, I disconnected the bottom motor and went back to the top and had no glitches. I will likely pickup 2 motors tomorrow at the LHS and test again.
