That is a lot and you should have seen some changes even if the arm was bent.
Also both can't be bent the exact same measurement.
Are you sure you don't have a loose servo arm that may have come loose?
Try to see of you can remove the servo arm then see if you can feel the servo shaft move as you activate the controls.
