Default RE: Hitec servos and jet models...

I have used hitec servos for the last five years in all my planes, jets and helis. the only servo that is not hitec is my futaba 9254 on the tail rotors of both my raptors, nothing that I have found can beat the speed of a 9254. After losing a plane to an overprice JR servo I switched to hitecs and have not looked back. The gear train does not develop slop as fast as a JR servo, the programmability of the servo is an added bonus (no matchboxes needed), and the cost is very attractive. I have used the 56XX and 59XX series in all my jets, and have not had a problem. The one thing I do, is break in. I put all my servos, not just hitecs, through a break in period where I have them cycle back and forth for 30 minutes to see if it is going to break or develop bad centering habits. Highest priced does not all ways mean best quality.
