TR here is post a while back from Rogerdee with an elevator mod that I'll try out myself. The pictures I'm posting for this mod are from Rogerdee.
ORIGINAL: Rogerdee
With regard to using the Shogun ball to modify the elevator linkage,I have done it a lot simpler(and cheaper!!!).
DO NOT REMOVE EXISTING ELEVATOR LINKAGE TILL YOU ARE HAPPY WITH MODIFICATION
!.Cut of a plastic swash plate ball complete with the flange. There are two spare on the swash plate.
2.Screw and glue the flange to the starboard side of the elevator seesaw so the ball is as close to the linkage mounting hole as possible.
3.Use a pitch rod as the linkage-screw a ball link on and put a z bend for the servo horn.
4.Make sure the servo horn is long enough for the rod to clear the body.
5.Adjust the linkage using the ball link on the threaded rod to set up the swash level.
6.Reverse your servo.
7.Remove old linkage and cut off bits of the seesaw if they are rubbing on the main gear.
This looks almost as clean as the Shogun ball setup and gives very positive elevator response.
Much thanks to Rogerdee for this cool mod!
