Default RE: CP Gyro Issue

ORIGINAL: mrasmm

hrm, that's not so good. The front one is the gain for the gyro on the 3 in 1. The proportional needs to be set without any power. that might all be info you know though.... I can't really see on your pic, but is the gain turned nearly all the way up?

Unplug the battery and turn the gain all the way down and the proportional about half. Arm the heli and see how it does, unplug the battery and make the adjustment to the proportional until it gets where you want it, then after that you can adjust the gain with the battery plugged in. Just adjust it until the tail wags a bit, and then turn it back down enough so that it doesn't wag =)
This is just a normal CP, so it's a 4-1. Unless I'm mistaken and it actually is a 3-1? I set the proportion correctly with no power, I have it set good, as the where the CP displays very little drift in one direct direction. But it does, and once I got it to as best as I could, I started the Gain tuning. Let em try and elaborate.

At this point is where I hit my problem. The gain acts funny. Right now, in the picture it is all the way down. As soon as I turn it up just a bit, the tail will start to spin continuously as soon as the throttle is nudged up. I haven't even gotten it off the ground with gain up any because it will just spin in circles because the tail won't shut off. Any ideas now? Bad 4 n' 1? If a video explanation will help, I can certainly make one of those!
