Default RE: Using a 7CAP for a Heli

They are basically the same radio. As stated above the heli version has a smooth throttle stick and the airplane version has a rachet style stick. I have a 9c airplane version, same as the 7c, both the radios are the same with the same programming for airplanes and helicopters, just some of the switches are in different locations. To "fix" the throttle stick, simply remove the back cover of the radio. On the back of the throttle stick you will see where the stick drags a metal piece up and down a grooved piece of plastic which gives the throttle the rachet feel. Simply remove the screw that holds the metal clip down and flip the metal piece over and reinstall the screw. Now your throttle will have the smooth feel to it and make it much easier to fly helis with.
