Oh yeah. It's funny you say that. I have a 13" mono (MHZ Gecko) that has a 380 12S Feigao brushless that has a max amp draw of 47A. I think, but I'm running it with a Barracuda80 (80A ESC). When I built the boat there weren't as many ESC options as we have now. I also wanted the $40 motor to go first instead of the $150 ESC if something catastrophic happened. So, the setup I have now is on the very safe side. The brushless motor/ESC combos are sometimes hard to get right if you are like me and are pretty new to brushless. Ask as many questions you need.
