After 3 months of practicing on the G3.5 sim and only 2 days (since January 1st) of just flying circles, no landings, no take-offs, etc. I finally get out once again today with a new instructor and NO buddy box and landed solo on my first flight with 10 mph crosswinds, then next flight tried take-off and sucessfully flew my first solo flight from start to finish. After about 8 more additional solo flights today I cant wait to get back out again!
