Default Magic Extra -- Where To Put RX & Battery?

She's done. The OS SX .50 fit the stock engine mount like an isotomer glove; hope I don't need to adjust for thrust, ect.

I installed all the servos per instructions. Like a few of you I found the airlon push-rods way too short -- fabricated new ones from spare stock piles.

Ques #1:
The landing gear appears to be very flimsy, even for this light weight airplane -- anyone having problems with it bending on other than significant hard landings?

Ques #2:
Where are you putting the RX and battery? I haven't checked CG yet but can't for the life of me think of putting the RX other than just in front of the wing hold downs and the RX battery pack in front of that. I'm thinking of using a Hitec Supreme SS 7-channel RX. With the standard Hitec rubber foam blanket it is a very tight fit just in front of the wing bolts. The battery seems to fit OK in front of that. It looks like the only place for the switch is right next to the RX -- might have to add extension to the battery.

Ques #3:
I've seen a lot of posts for the TT 46 and Saito 72 for this plane. Anyone out there tried the OS SX .50? What prop is best. I have both APC 12x4 and APC 12.25x3.75. I currently have the standard muffler installed on it but also have a MAC's single-piece exhaust and a Tower Hobbies exhaust available as alternatives. I also have a spare OS FX .46 if that is a more appropriate engine for this plane????

NOTE:
Model Tech did a nice job with the detail and covering material on this airplane -- I don't plan on changing anything, EXCEPT, the wheel pants have to go. They look real cheap and really don't fit the look of the airplane. Along with the wheel pants I think I'll up the size of the wheels a little and replace the screw axles with regular axles.
