Default RE: Kroma 180 Engine Review

I originally had the 180 with headers from DA for the 150 with a few alterations to make it fit. I also had muffler cans for the exhaust and I was getting 5800 rpm with a mezlik 32x10. I was having problems with the cans, headers and the teflon connectors, part of it being very limited room in the tunnel, and burning through the connectors.

I since changed to stock mufflers, a little louder noise, but I picked up 400 rpm and now get 6200 rpm and a huge performance boost over the cans.

This is what I now recommend because there doesn't seem to be a good fitting header for it yet, or the last time I had checked there wasn't. I did get a header from 3W and it was a closer fit but because of the tight fit in the plane it still didn't work for me, but if you have more room in the tunnel than I have and you need a quiet plane, then that's an option for you.

I have about 120 flights on this engine and it's running really well so I would recommend it if you need a little more power.

Kelvin.
