The set up you are using will still work, but I think you will see your flight times will dramaticly be reduced. I fly mine with a 3S 2100 pack will I am waiting for my 4200 Mah pack to charge. I really only fly it about 6 or 7 minutes with that battery on floats. The floats definatley add weight to the cub. You will lhave to use more throttle in cruise with the float than without. It is still possible however. I will run mine like that, just not very long flight times. Good Luck
