i got the same hull powered with a 7.5 K&B ........... ( yeah .....i know its a little bit overpowered ) i have this boat since 1990 and it runs still great and its a eyecatcher , cause a canard is very rare here in Europe......... i plan to build my own fuel tank out of thin ( 0.8mm) stainless steel !

is there any chance to get plans or old " ed fisher" designed canards in the states ?
