RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation
Dutch, The power of the 61 is great! I still dont have it finely tuned yet, still on break in, so i havent reached its full potential. I cant wait till i can really use all the power it has! I put Hitec HS-425's in all around. I ran into a couple of problems in the building process though. I mounted the engine too close to the firewall and my fuel lines would kink, so i got a new engine mount and mounter her again, but moving the engine forward made it quite nose heavy so i had to add a tiny bit of weight to the tail. I also ran into a problem with the throttle push cable being too stiff, so i just installed a durbo flex cable and it works great. Other then that, all went well! THe maiden went great, i cant wait to fly her again. this time i will try to use flaps and see how much it slows down on the landings, it landed pretty fast cause i was comming in steep, (the place where i flew it wasnt as big as i hoped.) I'll make a couple more flights to break in the engine and then i'll fine tune it to get all the power. It flies great though, it goes right where i would point it and it was very smooth and precise. THanks for all the help and tips dutch, and good luch with the new 40 and the new 60!
