I have a 2.5" standard Tru Turn with an 120 slot, and it fits a APC 15x6 just fine.

I agree 100% that their info is misleading. What kind of plane did you plan to put the 2 1/4 inch spinner on? If it is a UCD like mine, did you try your 2 1/2" standard 120 on it? I'm wondering what it looks like.
