Ok Boys & girls..........I know this issue has been beaten to death, but could someone that knows their onions please clarify this issue! I am about ready to take my virgin Twist 60 to the field with the CG set at 150 MM (six inches behind) the LE (as I was told to earlier) but have been reading some posts on it & am seeing that it might be too far aft. I modified the rudder & elevator servos to the rear of the fuse......made a hatch behind the wing bolts....Etc. to get the CG at the above setting. I am considering re-setting it to maybe 5.25 instead of 6.00". Dang....I don't know where I am going to put the battery now if I have to change it. I am not flying 3D. I am a sport flyer & just want a nice flying plane & one that lands like it should with no ballooning. I like to do a few tricks......snaps......rolls......inverted....picn ic table take offs....stall turns.....Etc. but not 3D neccessarily..........
I am using a heavy 1100 MAH nicad pack with a DX7 radio setup. Maybe a smaller & lighter 1650 Hydrimax NIMH pack in it's place would be enough to get the CG more forward..............I made a real nice rear hatch too................dam* dam* dam*
Please reply if you have experiance with this issue.........
Thanks much in advance
