From most people's experiences doing this conversion, most people say don't waste your time. It's a ton of work to get that boat light enough to really make it move. You've got to really strip it down and empty it out. IMO it'd be A LOT easier and be a much better suited FE boat if you were to start with a bare FE hydro hull to begin with.
