You're right that trim is an essential prerequisite but so is having your brain programmed to fly the thing. I just flew the Trex on FMS and was doing OK until I became disoriented, if that had been the real deal, it would have cost me dearly. Hence my desire to get on the FMS SIM with the actual controller.
