Hey Lablover I'm using a 7CHP with my Axe I got off ebay for $120 shipped. It works great with the Axe. All that was required was an Rx crystal that matched the Tx. Granted it's not spectrum modulation, but since I don't fly in a crowded field it's not a problem. I will make one suggestion if you can get a radio with a 5 point curves for pitch and throttle. It makes fine tuning a little nicer.
