Barrick MY Friend, Chopper Here AGAIN!

Congrats on the installation of the Brushless motor and ESC. I knew you could do it, with no problems.

Since the Brushless motor has way more torque and a ton more power, compared to the stock 370 motor.. TAKE TIME to readjust your proportional and gyro gain on the 3n1 controller. I think you'll be surprised at the POWER that motor has. Again, once you are satisfied with the performance of the new setup, (make several flights) then go ahead an install the G90 gyro.. Good instuctions in the manual for that too.

Love Ya Rick,

RICK : REPORTING

Great success...... with trembling hands (and without having removed the blades as the Manual advices) I turned on the TX and plugged in a 3 cell LIPO..... the 3-1 cycled normally, all the lights blinked right on queu and it armed correctly. SO " all my soldering did WORK WELL ! " The pinion seems to be working well, although , of course, it wasn't spooled up, just enough to see that the blades were spinning the wrong way. Shut down, reversed two connectors on the ESC, and now it works , apparently very well.
Tomorrow, if I get a good day, in the evening I will figure out how to finnesse the SPAGHETTI MESS, trying to copy Chopper's pictures. Then SuperSkids go back on the canopy and it should fly again Saturday early morning. We are having DEAD CALM days here in Houston, no wind at all...... And OK, I will hold off with the GYRO until I see that it flies well.
GOOD ADVICE !!! is always welcome... Thanks for the ENCOURAGING POSTS, brothers, It does me a lot of good, please believe this... Poor old man : Onward through the FOG..... Here is a pic that I just took on the moment of the first connection. You see the TX is on and the lights on the 3-1 are cycling. I was actually semi-expecting to photograph a LiPo EXPLODING.....or flames shooting up... sheeesh
So all seems to be OK
