That thing is Sick!!!!
So I've been out of the game a while, but how do you go about covering....are the graphics stickers, paint, coating?
When I usually cover a plane it makes all the hard work I've done end up looking like crap! Any advice?
Very cool pics guys!
Mine is the one that is cream with the simple orange trim. It certainly does not qualify as one of the 'sick' ones but the way it is covered is with Sig Koverall fabric and all of the color is brush painted with dope from Aircraft Spruce.
I just finished the touch up work this morning where the masking was not quite right and I will spray paint a final coat of clear dope on the whole thing in a few days. Since each coat of the dope melts into the previous one trying to brush paint across the different colors would cause bleed over so I plan to use a aerosol can of Sig high gloss clear for that.
There are some amazing covering / paint jobs in this thread that I really admire.
A lot of the folks really make their planes into works of art.
