Default RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!

barrick,

orl's right if you go to the original website the files are in pdf format (you need adobe acrobat) I posted some jpeg files but are kind of difficult to read because of the size limitation.

he's also got another point about the mod's. which there is no mention of in that article.

I too watched jermo's vids, but found to be a great starting point to learn the basic programming of the DX7 but not real informative on the actual settings.

here's the settings I've been using for sometime now with great success...

Blade CP Pro with AR6100, and DX7

Step 1)
Connect the servo wires to receiver AR6100 as follows:

AUX1 - Right Rear Servo*
GEAR - <empty>
RUDD - Rudder
ELEV - Front Servo*
AILE - Left Rear Servo*
THRO - Throttle

*Left and Right Rear servos are based on the orientation of the helicopter placed in front of you with the nose pointing forward (away from you), and the tail facing back (towards you).

Step 2)
Create model in DX7:

While powering up DX7 hold down Scroll and Select buttons to enter “Model Select Mode”

Set initial settings for model in DX7…

[SWASH TYPE]
3 SERVOS, 120*

[INPUT SELECT]
AUX2 = INH
GEAR = INH

[THRO RECOVERY]
INH

[TRAINER]

[TYPE SELECT]
HELI

[MODEL NAME]
enter a name for your model like BCP Pro

power down DX7.

Step 3)
Bind AR6100 to DX7

Plug bind plug into BATT connection on AR6100

Power up DX7 make sure correct model is selected, power back down DX7.

Remove motor connections from BCPP 3in1

Power up RX by plugging battery into JST connector

AR6100 should have a fast blinking amber light

Now power up DX7 while holding bind button on back of transmitter.

The AR6100 should go through it’s bind process,

Everything is ready when AR6100 is solid amber light and 3in1 is solid green light.

Powerdown AR6100 by unplugging battery

Turn off DX7.

Step 4)
REMOVE BIND PLUG FROM BATT CONNECTION ON AR6100!!!

Step 5)
Program DX7

Turn on the DX7 and enter programming mode for the current model by pressing SCROLL and SELECT buttons

[SUB TRIM]
*varies from model to model… use these to level your servo arms, a large number in either direction may best be leveled from servo link push rod.

Step 6)

Power up Heli and check for correct control of the servos,

see pages 16-18 in the manual.

“Position the helicopter to view it from the left or right side. Move the left-hand stick up and down to check the collective pitch control. When the stick is pushed up, the swashplate should lower, increasing the pitch of the main blades.

With the stick pulled back down, the swashplate should raise, decreasing the pitch of the main blades.

Again viewing the helicopter from the left or right side, move the right-hand stick forward and aft to check elevator pitch control. When the stick is pushed forward, the swashplate should also tilt forward. With the stick pulled back, the swashplate will tilt toward the rear.

While viewing the helicopter from the rear (tail boom toward you), move the right-hand stick left and right to check aileron roll control. When the stick is pushed to the left, the swashplate should also tilt left. With the stick pushed right, the swashplate will tilt to the right.”

Step 7)

Plug in main and rotor motors, power back up and FLY!
